You want to consume milk products that won’t inflate your calories from carbohydrates. Unfortunately, cow’s milk is a product that tends to be high in carbohydrate calories.
That being said, you need to be aware of how much you can consume and be aware of portion control if you decide to consume cow’s milk or dairy-related products.
The better option would be to go for “Keto-friendly milks” such as:
- Coconut milk
- Soy milk
- Almond milk
Make sure you choose unsweetened milks.
Unfortunately, several manufacturers will add sugar or sweeteners to flavour these milk products, which will increase the amount of carbohydrate calories within the product.
Always read the labels and the nutrition information and confirm that the products are unsweetened.
Check the calorie servings and carbs per 100g.
